PSALM 88:1 (Ein Psalmlied der Kinder Korah, vorzusingen, von der Schwachheit der Elenden. Eine Unterweisung Hemans, des Esrahiten.) HERR, Gott, mein Heiland, ich schreie Tag und Nacht vor dir.
PSALM 88:2 Laß mein Gebet vor dich kommen; neige deine Ohren zu meinem Geschrei.
PSALM 88:3 Denn meine Seele ist voll Jammers, und mein Leben ist nahe dem Tode.
PSALM 88:4 Ich bin geachtet gleich denen, die in die Grube fahren; ich bin ein Mann, der keine Hilfe hat.
PSALM 88:5 Ich liege unter den Toten verlassen wie die Erschlagenen, die im Grabe liegen, deren du nicht mehr gedenkst und die von deiner Hand abgesondert sind.
PSALM 88:6 Du hast mich in die Grube hinuntergelegt, in die Finsternis und in die Tiefe.
PSALM 88:7 Dein Grimm drückt mich; du drängst mich mit allen deinen Fluten. (Sela.)
PSALM 88:8 Meine Freunde hast du ferne von mir getan; du hast mich ihnen zum Greuel gemacht. Ich liege gefangen und kann nicht herauskommen.
PSALM 88:9 Meine Gestalt ist jämmerlich vor Elend. HERR, ich rufe dich an täglich; ich breite meine Hände aus zu dir.
PSALM 88:10 Wirst du denn unter den Toten Wunder tun, oder werden die Verstorbenen aufstehen und dir danken? (Sela.)
PSALM 88:11 Wird man in Gräbern erzählen deine Güte, und deine Treue im Verderben?
PSALM 88:12 Mögen denn deine Wunder in der Finsternis erkannt werden oder deine Gerechtigkeit in dem Lande, da man nichts gedenkt?
PSALM 88:13 Aber ich schreie zu dir, HERR, und mein Gebet kommt frühe vor dich.
PSALM 88:14 Warum verstößest du, HERR, meine Seele und verbirgst dein Antlitz vor mir?
PSALM 88:15 Ich bin elend und ohnmächtig, daß ich so verstoßen bin; ich leide deine Schrecken, daß ich fast verzage.
PSALM 88:16 Dein Grimm geht über mich; dein Schrecken drückt mich.
PSALM 88:17 Sie umgeben mich täglich wie Wasser und umringen mich miteinander.
PSALM 88:18 Du machst, daß meine Freunde und Nächsten und meine Verwandten sich ferne von mir halten um solches Elends willen.
